hristmas in a barbershop is a funny one. Everyone wants to
look their best, everyone has somewhere to be, and someone
will always ask if you can squeeze them in just before you finish.
It's busy, but it's also a time when you realise how much happens
around that chair. You hear about people's Christmas plans, see
familiar faces coming home for the holidays and start wondering
where the year has gone.
This year, I've had a few moments myself where I've stopped and
thought, "How have I ended up here?"

One of those was leading the hair for Justin Cassin at London
Fashion Week.
Most days, you'll find me cutting hair at Cleancuts in Guildford.
Then suddenly I'm backstage, working with a team to get models
ready for a runway show. It's a different environment, but you're still
relying on the things you learn in a shop: listening, understanding
what someone wants and being able to deliver when there's a clock
ticking
