CELEBRITIES
everyone’s talking about...
JESY NELSON QUITS ‘I’M A CELEB’
Former Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson has had to pull out of
the upcoming ITV series ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out
Of Here!’ due to her twin girls poor health.
Jesy announced she chose to step away from
the six-figure jungle deal to stay home and look
after her “poorly” 16-month-old twins, Ocean
and Story, who were both diagnosed with Spinal
Muscle Atrophy (SMA) Type 1, a rare and serious
genetic condition which they have had since birth.
Jesy, 35, had originally hoped to use her
appearance on the show to raise awareness for
SMA Type 1 and show a different side of herself to
viewers, but has decided to put her children's health
first and stay in the UK to care for them.
ITV network executives have been fully supportive of her decision and have
released a statement saying: "The door will always be left open for Jesy" should she
wish to return.
Other names rumoured to have signed up for the hit ITV show this year include
footballer Wayne Rooney, former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ pro Nadiya Bychkova,
England cricket player Ben Stokes and Kaiser Chiefs lead singer Ricky Wilson.
The show is due to air on Monday 16th November at 9pm on ITV1.
CHRIS BROWN GETS SENTENCED
R&B singer Chris Brown has been sentenced over a
“vicious” London nightclub bottle attack.
Brown, 37, pleaded guilty to attacking a London
music producer at Southwark Crown Court on 26th
October relating to the incident back in February
2023 where he stuck music producer Abraham
Diaw over the head twice with a tequila
bottle at London nightspot,
Tape. The incident
was caught on
CCTV.
Brown, the
ex-boyfriend
of
Rihanna,
received an 8-month
suspended sentence and was spared jail.
He left the court to cheers from fans, signed
autographs and even blew one fan a kiss. He was
lucky not to receive a custodial sentence.
"Violence will not be accepted on the streets of London,"
Detective Chief Superintendent Christina Jessah from the Metropolitan Police
said in a statement. "Regardless of an individual's profile or status, we will pursue those
responsible and work tirelessly to bring them before the courts."
