DUNE: PART THREE
JOHN LEGEND: MUSE
The final chapter in the ‘Dune’ trilogy
is here this December 18th ending the
climactic, sci-fi masterpiece, taken from
the novel ‘Dune Messiah’ written by
acclaimed author Frank Herbert, back in
1969.
‘Dune: Part Three’ is set nearly two
decades after ‘Dune: Part Two’ and
shows how the young Emperor Paul
Atreides must face the consequences
of his ruthless reign as old allies return,
new threats emerge and betrayal lurks in
every corner.
The story centres on Atreides (played
by Timothée Chalamet) and his onscreen love interest Chani (played by
‘Spiderman’ star Zendaya) and shows
how Atreides is haunted by visions of
Imperial collapse and the reappearance
of his long-lost love.
Atreides is thus drawn into a sweeping
conspiracy, with Chani at the heart of its
unfolding mystery, he experiences the
true cost of power and has to decide the
fate of those he loves the most… with
disastrous consequences.
The cast in this final instalment is
ridiculously strong; consisting of ‘End of
Eden’ star Florence Pugh, ‘Aquaman’
star Jason Mamoa and Oscar winning
French actor, Javier Bardem, alongside
“tween” favourite and ‘Twilight’ star,
Robert Pattinson.
The film also features ‘The Greatest
Showman’ actress Rebecca Ferguson,
‘Casino Royale’ villain, Isaach de Bankolé,
with further guest starring appearances
from Oscar nominee ‘Dexter’ star
Charlotte Rampling and ‘The Queen’s
Gambit’ actress, Anya Taylor-Joy.
From Warner Bros. Pictures and
Legendary Pictures, Academy Awardnominated filmmaker Denis Villeneuve’s
epic trilogy finally reaches its breathtaking
conclusion, and according to movie
pundits, it will not disappoint.
‘Muse’ is the new album that we
reckon will define hitmaker John
Legend. Never one to claim the
spotlight, the first thing he does with
his new found freedom and creative
genius, is give it away!
Long time pal Pharrell claims he
co-wrote and produced all of the 16
tracks on Legend’s new album, a fact
Legend hasn’t YET denied.
The
two
allegedly
started
producing back in January 2025
at Pharrell’s studio inside Louis
Vuitton’s Paris headquarters, where
work began because Legend sang
on Clipse’s ‘The Birds Don’t Sing’
and Pharrell decided there was a
record in his voice alone.
Legend has said in past interviews,
that some of these songs were
written for him entirely by Pharrell,
which he almost never allows.
On the new, 42 minute ‘Muse’
album the strongest lyrics and love
songs seem to arrive late and appear
rushed. Tracks like ‘Everything’ and
‘Sail Off’ close on a gentleness that
questions its authority.
‘The album is thus called ‘Muse’.
A Muse does not make the thing.
A Muse is what the thing gets
made about,’ Legend teases.
The authorship question hasn’t
been resolved yet either. Pharrell
features on at least six of 13 songs at
the moment.
The phrase “produced in full
by Pharrell” sits beside a credit
list running to nine writers, Samm
Henshaw and Wayne Hector among
them.
This debacle doesn’t look like its
ending any time soon, but hey, at
least there’s a belter of an album out
this month!
THE SOUL MATE:
BY LANA FERGUSON
Two alpha lovers reunite after
a steamy night they thought was
left fully in the past, in this new,
spicy romance novel by USA Today
bestselling author, Lana Ferguson.
Single mum and omega Ada
Langley has been trying, and failing,
to forget the sexy alpha from the
bar that she went home with six
months ago. So when a trip to the
tattoo shop means being surprised
by none other than that same alpha,
she’s understandably thrown for a
loop. Afraid to risk her feelings on an
alpha again after one left her heart
shattered, Ada wants to keep that
night a secret and in the past.
After years of apprenticing in New
York, alpha wolf Levi Madden has
moved back to his hometown to open
a tattoo shop. He’s done his best to
let go of that night with the omega
from the bar, but he can’t shake the
lasting impression she left before
disappearing the morning after.
When Levi’s aunt recruits his artist
alter ego to help save her gallery, the
very same one where Ada works…
fate gives him a chance to get to
know Ada for real this time and, if he’s
lucky, win her over.
Working together while trying to
avoid the growing feelings that took
root all those months ago proves
difficult, but with every moment
spent together, it becomes obvious
that Levi is perfect for Ada in every
way.
Even as guarded as Ada is, it’s not
long before they both start to wonder
if their chance encounter has led
them to their soul mate.
